“By demonstrating bold leadership, Pasadena can lead California into a clean energy future. The time has come for Pasadena to end -- once and for all -- its use of dirty-coal to generate electricity,” said Jim Gonzalez, Chair of the Renewable Energy Accountability Project.
Facts about Pasadena’s overreliance on dirty coal:
In mid-October 2009, REAP launched a public awareness campaign in Pasadena to fully inform residents of the harmful effects of burning dirty-coal to generate electricity.
As REAP’s End Dirty Coal Project in Pasadena moves forward, it will continue to feature volunteer Ironing Board Brigades, town hall meetings and house meeting discussions to involve the community in seeking reasonable and effective clean energy solutions.
