CPUC Dodges written Response to REAPs questionnaire:
Upon REAPs third attempt to get a response to our questionnaire, Michael Peevey's office made a half-hearted attempt at responding, while avoiding our request for a written response all together. Instead, they insist on a closed-door phone conversation. Below is fully documented account of the email conversation between REAP and Mr. Peevey’s office, as of today.



CPUC Ducks Citizen Request For Transparency:
The CPUC is the state agency charged with the responsibility of issuing penalties for noncompliance of RPS standards. If the CPUC goes soft on the Big Utilities then we can kiss renewable energy and California’s energy independence goodbye,”



REAP calls out CPUC:
Recent reports indicate that California’s principal IOU’s, Pacific Gas and Electric, Southern California Edison and SEMPRA, are struggling to meet the 20% RPS by 2010 mandated by law.
